Are you wanting to join with other practitioners on a specific topic? Or maybe you would like to start a group and would like to invite others to join with you?

Feel free to leave a message on this forum.

Dear Members of the World-Wide Feldenkrais Community,

Ten years ago when I first began editing the lessons, a relatively few people in the community were aware of the riches Dr. Feldenkrais left for future generations of Feldenkrais® practitioners. The initial Alexander Yanai volumes were met with complaints about the difficulty of the lessons and the complexity of Dr. Feldenkrais' language. Slowly, slowly those complaints settled as people became accustomed to how specifically Dr. Feldenkrais used language to describe his aims and intention. Then, as more and more practitioners used the lessons, an appreciation for Dr. Feldenkrais' legacy blossomed. This flowering continues with eleven published volumes serving as a foundation for the curriculum of many trainings and/or the continuing education of many practitioners.

I'd like to start a discussion of what a title of a lesson should indicate. Is it a description of what happens, of the movements? If so, which movements? Or does it describe a function the lesson might be addressing: bending, turning, sitting, standing, etc.? Another possibility is the position the lesson is done in.

Report to IFF Board for IFF Annual General Assembly May, 2008

Whereas much of the business of the IFF reflects Member-to-Member discussion of issues, the IFF Academy is the space created by the IFF for the development of Practitioners. Originally conceived as the umbrella for the Competency and Quality initiatives by the IFF, the Academy continues to maintain these themes but also is the incubator for ideas that lead to increased competency and proficiency of Practitioners, both in their praxis with the public, and also with the larger professional field, which includes development of the Practitioner within his or her community and national organization.

Dear Feldenkrais Practitioner,

On behalf of the Editorial Board of the IFF Academy Research Journal, it is with pleasure that I announce that Volume 3 of the IFF Academy Research Journal has been published. The journal can be found at IFF Academy Research Journal Vol 3.
